| What to send | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Drawings and 3D data | A dimensioned 2D drawing with tolerances, plus a 3D file (STEP or similar). Without the 2D drawing, each factory reads the tolerances its own way. |
| Material and finish | Material grade by standard (JIS, ASTM, EN or ISO), heat treatment and surface finish. A quotation that leaves a line out cannot be compared with one that includes it. |
| Quantity pattern | First order, annual volume and how often you will reorder. Tooling, process and price all follow from this. |
| Quality documents you need | Inspection report, material certificate, first-article approval or anything your customer asks for. Agree the list before the order, not at shipment. |
| Destination and Incoterm | Where it ships and who handles what. Packing, documents and the export route depend on it. |
| For machinery | What the machine must make, the workpiece and output you need, the voltage and frequency at your site, and any safety marking your country requires. |
Industrial sourcing
Industrial parts and production machinery from Japan, Vietnam and Asia
Metal, plastic, rubber and electronic parts made to your drawing, and new or used production machinery from Japan. We find the supplier, check it on site, manage samples and inspection, and arrange export — for buyers anywhere.
Where to source what
Choose the route by the part or machine and the volume, then compare suppliers on the same specification. The examples below are the most common requests, not a limit.
From Japan
Typical requests: New and used production machinery, moulds and dies, precision parts in small lots, genuine Japanese components and consumables.
What we do: Find the machine or supplier, check it before you pay, arrange export documents and the export-control check, and support installation.
From Vietnam
Typical requests: Machined, stamped, cast, forged and fabricated metal parts; injection-moulded, extruded and rubber parts; wire harnesses and PCB assembly; jigs and special machines.
What we do: For each project, find and vet the factory that fits the part, manage samples and first-article approval, and inspect before shipment.
From Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, India and the rest of Asia
Typical requests: Machine tools and moulding machines, precision and electronic parts, metal and plastic parts, castings and forgings.
What we do: Compare suppliers across countries on landed cost, check them on site, and consolidate shipments from several countries.
What to send with a request for quotation
The more of this you send at the start, the sooner the quotations can be compared line by line.
Not everything is ready yet? Send what you have. We will tell you what is missing before we ask any supplier to quote.
From drawing to delivery
Six steps, each agreed in writing before the next starts.
- 01 Brief and drawings You send the drawings, material, quantities and destination — or, for machinery, what the machine has to make and where it will run.
- 02 Route and supplier search We decide with you whether Japan, Vietnam or another Asian country fits the part or machine, and look for suppliers that match.
- 03 Comparable quotations Every quotation is built on the same specification, so the differences you see are real ones.
- 04 Factory check and samples We check the factory or the machine on site, and samples or a first article are approved in writing against your drawing.
- 05 Production and inspection We follow production and inspect before shipment against the criteria agreed at the start.
- 06 Export and delivery Export documents, export-control checks where they apply, packing and shipment — and, for machinery, installation support.
Practical guides by category
Each guide is written as a procedure: what to decide, what to put in writing and where projects usually stall.
Metal parts
Machined, stamped, cast, forged, extruded and fabricated parts — what to specify so quotations compare and first lots pass.
Plastic and rubber parts, moulds and dies
Injection moulding, extrusion and rubber moulding, and the tooling behind them — who owns it, where it is made and how it moves.
Electronics and electrical assemblies
Wire harnesses, PCB assembly and electronics OEM — the data to hand over and the tests that decide acceptance.
Production machinery and equipment
New and used machine tools, moulding and press machines, packaging and food machinery, special machines — from specification to installation.
Industrial parts and consumables
Genuine Japanese components, spare parts and consumables, and the export checks that apply to them.
Choosing and managing the factory
Where to make it, how to check the factory, and how samples, quality documents, inspection and payment fit together.
Frequently asked questions
Can you source a part or machine that is not listed on this page?
Yes. The categories here are the most common requests, not a limit. Send us the drawing or the description of what you need and we look for the right route and supplier.
Should I source from Japan or from Vietnam?
It depends on the part and the volume. Production machinery, precision small lots and genuine Japanese components usually point to Japan; metal, plastic and electronic parts at production volume often suit Vietnam. We compare both on the same specification when the choice is not obvious.
Do you publish minimum order quantities, prices or lead times?
No. All three depend on the drawing, the material, the process and the tooling, so any number given before the specification exists would be misleading. Send us the brief and we come back with real figures for your part or machine.
Can you check a used Japanese machine before I pay?
Yes. We can inspect the machine in Japan, run it where possible and report what we find before you commit. The inspection guide on this page sets out what we look at.
Who owns the moulds and dies made for my parts?
Whoever the written agreement says owns them. Agree ownership, marking, maintenance and the right to move the tooling before it is made — the tooling ownership guide sets out what to put in writing.
