A trading company that works in three languages, from one office
We are based in Ho Chi Minh City. Everything we do comes down to removing the distance — of language, of regulation and of physical presence — between a company abroad and what it needs in Vietnam.
Why this company exists
Vietnam has become a serious manufacturing and consumer market, and a great deal of trade now passes through it. What has not caught up is the ability of a company abroad to actually reach into it: to know which supplier is real, to get a specification understood, to find out what a regulator will require before shipping rather than after.
Sunsho Trade was set up in Ho Chi Minh City to be that reach. The company is registered in Vietnam and managed by a Japanese owner who lives here, and the team works in English, Japanese and Vietnamese. That combination is the whole point: a drawing written in English reaches the factory floor in Vietnamese, and the factory’s question comes back to you in English the same day.
We work in both directions. One client is trying to buy castings, moulded parts or processed foods from Vietnam. Another is trying to get a cosmetic or a piece of machinery into the Vietnamese market. Both need the same underlying knowledge — customs, certification, labelling, and who is genuinely reliable — so we run both rather than pretending to specialise in one.
How we work
We say when the answer is no
If a part is better made somewhere other than Vietnam, or a product will not clear registration in the form you have it, you hear that at the enquiry stage. A project built on an optimistic answer costs you far more than a blunt one.
We do not quote what we cannot know yet
Price, minimum order quantity and lead time all depend on the specification. We would rather ask you three questions than publish a number that turns out to be wrong for your case.
We name what we control and what we do not
We are a trading company, not a factory owner. We coordinate, verify and take responsibility for the commercial relationship — and we are explicit about which parts of the chain belong to someone else.
Everything in writing, in your language
Specifications, terms and who owns which registration are agreed in writing in English before work starts. Misunderstandings across three languages are expensive, so we remove them early.
