Eco food packaging: paper cups, bagasse containers, paper straws and wooden cutlery
Cafés and restaurant chains reorder cups, containers and cutlery every month, and the switch away from single-use plastic in many markets has made the choice of material — and the paperwork behind it — matter more. We source paper cups, bagasse containers, paper straws and wooden cutlery from factories across Asia, check that they come with food-contact documents for your market, and ship them on your reorder schedule.
- Printed paper cups
- Bagasse containers
- Paper straws, wooden cutlery
- Food-contact documents
Food-contact items are regulated as such in most markets: the material has to be suitable for contact with food, and the importer is expected to hold evidence for it, usually test reports from the factory or an independent laboratory. We ask for those documents before the order and check that they cover the item, the material and the use — hot drinks, oily food, microwave — you intend.
Words such as compostable, biodegradable or plastic-free are environmental claims, and in many markets they need evidence behind them: a certification to a recognised standard, or test results. A bagasse box is not automatically compostable in every system, and a paper cup with a plastic lining is not plastic-free. We tell you what the factory can document, so the claim on your pack is one you can support.
Single-use plastic rules have been tightened in several markets on fixed dates. If you are switching material because of a rule, check which items it covers and from when; we can source the replacement while you confirm the rule that applies to you.
Printing cups and containers with your brand works the same way as other printed packaging: colour and position agreed on a proof, and checked on the first production.
What this includes
Paper cups and lids
Single- and double-wall paper cups for hot and cold drinks, printed with your brand, with matching lids and sleeves.
Bagasse containers
Moulded sugarcane-fibre boxes, bowls, plates and trays, specified by size, heat and grease resistance.
Paper straws and wooden cutlery
Paper straws, wooden or bamboo cutlery and stirrers, packed loose or individually wrapped.
Food-contact documents
Test reports and declarations checked before the order against your item, material and intended use.
Reorder schedule
Consolidated shipments of cups, containers and cutlery on your monthly or seasonal schedule.
How it works
- 01 Your item list The items, sizes, quantities, the market you sell in and how the items are used (hot, cold, oily, microwave).
- 02 Documents and quotes Factories quoted on the same specification, with their food-contact documents checked.
- 03 Samples Samples for your own use test, and a printed proof if the items carry your brand.
- 04 Production and inspection Production checked against the approved sample and inspected before shipment.
- 05 Shipment Consolidated shipment to your warehouse, outlets or distributor.
What we do — and the promises we keep
We put both in writing, so you know exactly what to expect from us.
We do
- Source paper cups, bagasse containers, paper straws and wooden cutlery
- Check food-contact documents against the item and the intended use
- Arrange samples and printed proofs
- Inspect before shipment and consolidate orders
- Ship to any country on your reorder schedule
What we will not do
- We do not own a factory, so we do not claim capacity we do not control
- We do not quote a price, an MOQ or a lead time before the items and quantities are known
- We do not put a compostable or biodegradable claim on an item without evidence behind it
- We do not act as the importer in your country
Before you write to us
You do not need all of this to start a conversation — but the more of it you have, the faster we can give you a real answer instead of a range.
- Items, sizes and quantities
- The market where the items will be used, and any rule you are switching for
- How the items are used: hot, cold, oily food, microwave
- Your artwork, if the items are printed
- Environmental claims you want to make, if any
- Your reorder pattern
Frequently asked questions
Which items can you supply?
Paper cups and lids, sleeves, bagasse boxes, bowls, plates and trays, paper straws, wooden and bamboo cutlery, and other food-service disposables to your specification.
Do the items come with food-contact documents?
We ask for them before the order and check that they cover the item, the material and the intended use. Which documents your market requires is confirmed against its current rules.
Can we call the items compostable or biodegradable?
Only with evidence behind the claim, such as a certification to a recognised standard or test results. Rules on these claims differ by market.
Can cups and containers be printed with our brand?
Yes. Colour and position are agreed on a proof and checked on the first production.
What sets the minimum order and the price?
The item, the material, the printing and the quantity per design. We quote once the items and quantities are known.
Food-contact and single-use plastic rules differ by market and change over time. Confirm the current rules in the market where the items are used; this page is not legal advice.
